Sept. 19, 2011
Rune, an information security firm committed to empowering the defense of privacy, today announced its sponsorship of GovernmentWare 2011. Rune security professionals will be participating at the event from 27 to 29 of September 2011. This event will be hosted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and will be held at the Suntec International Convention & Exhibition Center in Singapore.
Rune is excited to follow up its successful launch at Black Hat USA + 2011 with a local event that is geared toward the company's strengths in the IT security marketplace. The theme for GovernmentWare 2011, "SecurITy: Navigating the Brave New Cyber World," highlights the importance of implementing a forward-looking IT security mindset to help thwart sophisticated and invasive cyber-attacks that are becoming more and more common every day. Rune focuses on prevention of these cyber-attacks through simplistic yet effective applications.
Rune will be showcasing its premier security product, Deadbolt, at the show.
Deadbolt is a portable security solution that allows users to secure their critical information, such as emails, documents, images and spreadsheets, either at rest or in transit. With its focus on protecting the data, the secured information can easily move across any infrastructure, hostile or otherwise, providing the user confidence that it is protected and only those with a key will be able to access it.
"We're very proud to be launching at GovWare, especially on its 20th Anniversary. We know there will be many attendees who share our passion for information security and the defense of privacy. Conferences are always a great place for the community to come together as a whole and collaborate on solutions to complex and very real information security problems. As a Singaporean company, I can't think of a better place to demonstrate and receive feedback on Deadbolt," said Lance Gaines, President/CTO of Rune.
